At the first day of 2013, we offer a first suggestion for one of the horological highlights of the forthcoming year. The Piaget brand, having a reputation for putting complications like a tourbillon and automatic tourbillon in the worlds thinnest sizes, have announced the worlds thinnest Minute repeater: the Emperador Coussin XL Ultra Thin.
This watch will the thinnest automatic minute repeater in the world, but by no means the smallest.. The Piaget Emperador Coussin XL case is 48mm wide, and just 9.4mm thin. The watch has no dial: one has a firt-class view on the mechanicals and shows a beautifully designed movement, worthy of the Piaget reputation.
The watch will make its debut at SIHH 2013 in Geneva, later this month, and will be priced at $250,000.
